College Basketball Recap | News Article by sportsbettinghandicapper.com

The College Basketball season has given us more losses from the top two ranked teams than any other season in the last 25 years. It seems that every week we have a new number-one team, but when you look at the rest of the rankings, other top teams have been losing as well.

This trend is going to make the 2023 NCAA tournament one of the more wide-open events that we have had in a long time.

Each major conference is still up for grabs, and the next week will determine who will be the number one seed in their respective conferences. Houston is currently the #1 team in America, and they have been in the top 5 most of the year, but they have a loss to Temple this year.

Current #2 Alabama is in the middle of a murder investigation and lost to the worst team in the Big Twelve conference a few weeks ago.

The Big Ten is led by the Purdue Boilermakers, who spent a good portion of the year at number one but have recently lost some games on the road. Losing at Indiana, Maryland, and Northwestern in the last month.

However, they are in the driver’s seat to win the league with one more win and a northwestern loss this week. The rest of the conference is jumbled. There are teams within 1 game of each other in the standings.

This conference tournament is going to be insane. There doesn’t look like a too-real national title contender in the conference though, as teams with old skilled guards usually win in March, Purdue is led by two freshmen.

The rest of the league is way too inconsistent to get it done in march. Keep an eye on Indiana though, as Trayce Jackson-Davis can win a lot of games.

The Big Twelve is led by the Kansas Jayhawks. They are one game ahead of Texas, and one game ahead of Baylor in the loss column. This has been the deepest and best league in the country this year.

They have a few teams that could cut down the nets. Kansas reloaded this year, and they are still rolling on. Texas lost their coach to a strangulation charge but has since started to roll.

They have great guards and look to be a scary out. Baylor also has national championship aspirations. They have an elite NBA-level player on their team and a bunch of long athletic players. This league could produce a national champion.

The rest of the country is led by Arizona, UCLA, Alabama, and Houston. As mentioned above, Houston is full of old strong men, and a potential lottery pick. UCLA is proven and they have major players as well. Alabama is going to win the SEC, and they have a superstar in Brandon Miller.

This college basketball season has been a roller coaster, and the next couple of weeks are going to be wild.
