Week 12 Heisman ladder | News Article by sportsbettinghandicapper.com

1-Michael Penix Jr, QB, Washington

After week 11, Michael Penix Jr is still at the top of the Heisman Race. We are starting to finally see the end of the line in this race, and it seems that it is a four-man race at this point. JJ McCarthy and Michigan decided he wasn’t needed in their game and Jordan Travis lacked luster on Saturday.

Penix had 332 yards, two touchdowns, and added a rushing touchdown. They won a close game against Utah, and with the Huskies being undefeated, he is still at the top.

2- Bo Nix, QB, Oregon

Bo Nix did what every other QB has done against the USC Trojans this week. He threw for 400 yards and completed 70%-plus of his passes for the 10th consecutive game. Nix and Penix look like they are going to be facing each other in the PAC-12 Championship game, and that game could very well decide this award. That is the main reason that these two are standing above the rest of the country at this moment.

3- Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

The LSU Tiger is the best player in America this year. He has been incredible and Saturday he did something that has never been done before, when he threw for 350 yards and ran for 200 yards. The only thing that is holding him back is a dreadful LSU defense.

They have three losses this year, and that is the only reason that he is not #1 on our list. If he continues for the next couple weeks, he may be able to do enough to overcome the losses, which has happened in the past.

Heisman Trophy Ladder
Player Position YDS TD QBR
Michael Penix Jr. QB 1636 15 93.7 / 1st
Bo Nix QB 1169 10 80.6 / 20th
Jayden Daniels QB 1350 16 93.7 / 1st
Marvin Harrison WB 1149 11 81.4 / 20th
Jordan Travis QB 1028 9 8605 / 6th

4-Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State

The engine that makes the Ohio State offense go was once again the best player on the field again this weekend. He had three first-half touchdowns this week and added 168 scrimmage yards. He is the best NFL prospect in the country, which doesn’t mean anything, but it’s true for him. He isn’t a QB, and his QB stinks, but he is keeping the #1 Buckeyes afloat on offense.

5-Jordan Travis, QB, Florida State

I believe that Jordan Travis has finally played his way out of this award. He has been rock solid this year, but he hasn’t been Heisman-level this year. They are still undefeated, and that means a lot, but he has zero chance of winning this award today.

Other Contenders: No one else can win this award.
