The College Football slate this weekend has some interesting contests. We get to start with the Big Ten having the first match-up of their top three teams which could change the trajectory of the entire conference.
#7 Penn State at #3 Ohio State
This match-up looks to be the biggest game for Penn State in quite a while. The Nittany Lions and these Buckeyes should be a rock fight. The defenses are both giving up less than 10 a game, and their offenses have had some trouble at times. If Drew Allar is able to hit some big plays, then Penn State has a chance to upset Ohio State.
#16 Duke at #4 Florida State
This game hinges on whether Riley Lenoard plays for the Dukies. If he does, then they have a fighter chance in this game because he is that talented. If he misses, then Florida State should be able to keep Duke out of the End zone more often than not. Look for a few big plays for Keon Coleman to break this game open for the ‘Noles.

#17 Tennessee at #11 Alabama
The Third Saturday of October gives us another ranked match-up between Tennessee and Alabama. Last year the Vols shocked the world and outscored Bama 52-49 to vault the program back into prevalence. Since that game, however, the Tennessee offense hasn’t been the same, and this year neither has Alabama’s. Both of these teams have elite defenses. Bama is still in play for the college football playoff despite their weak offense this season.
#14 Utah at #18 USC
Caleb Williams played the worst game of his college career last week at Notre Dame, and this week he gets to play what could be the best defense in America. Utah can suffocate anyone, and if USC doesn’t figure something out they could be in for trouble. However, Utah cannot score. They need Cam Rising back in a bad way, or at least need to trust whoever is playing QB for them.
