This should be a fun game to watch. The 10-10 Portland Trail Blazers have an electric offense and a mediocre defense, while the 13-7 Utah Jazz have a dominant defense and one of the best shooting teams in the NBA.
The Trail Blazers are going through a rough patch and have lost their last two games to the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings. The Trail Blazers have a good offense, so scoring has not been the issue. Instead, the issue has been their defense; the Trail Blazers have not been able to limit the scoring from teams with high-powered offenses. They need this win to get back on track and stay above .500.
The Jazz are as good as advertised and on their way to having another excellent regular season. They are sitting comfortably at third in the Western Conference. They crushed the New Orleans Pelicans 127-105 in their last game. They went 20/35 from behind the three-point line and hit 56.3% of their field goals. The Jazz are amidst another season of being a really tough team to beat.
The Trail Blazers have a heck of an uphill battle this game. They are playing on the road in Salt Lake City and going through a two-game skid. However, if the Trail Blazers limit the Jazz’s number of open shots and successfully execute almost all of their offensive opportunities, they can win the game. That is very difficult, but it is possible.
