These MLB teams top the odds to win the World Series at the All-Star break | News Article by Sportsbettinghandicapper.com

The Major League Baseball schedule takes a break with the annual All-Star Game but once that brief breather is through, baseball’s best betting trends will start pushing toward the postseason with a spot in the Fall Classic in mind.

Here are the World Series favorites at the break:

Los Angeles Dodgers (+225)
Always a bridesmaid. Never a bride. The Dodgers have lost in back-to-back World Series, getting edged by the Houston Astros in seven games back in 2017 and then rolled by the Boston Red Sox in five games last October.

Los Angeles enters the All-Star break with the best record in the bigs, going 60-32 in the first half of the season. The Dodgers are a deadly combo of solid pitching and reliable hitting, boasting a second-ranked 3.39 ERA while driving in an average of 5.22 runs per outing. The All-Star break comes at a good time, allowing L.A. to get David Freese and Corey Seager back in the lineup in time for a World Series rematch against the Red Sox this weekend.

New York Yankees (+300)
The Bronx Bombers have lived up to their nickname so far in 2019. New York has clubbed a total of 149 home runs while scoring 5.72 runs per contests, en route to a 57-31 record. The Yankees pitching staff has been respectable, with a collective 4.11 ERA.

The Pinstripes have been especially strong in the Bronx, with a 31-14 record at home. They have a great chance to build more momentum coming out of the break, playing their next 10 games at Yankee Stadium. New York has also been very strong against the rest of the American League East, boasting a 29-9 record in divisional games.

Houston Astros (+350)
Houston is right there with the Yankees in the American League Pennant race, taking a 57-33 record into the All-Star break. The Astros went into the hiatus on a tear, winning seven of their last eight, and have the experience and talent to turn up the intensity as we get toward the end of the summer.

Houston owns the fourth-lowest staff ERA at 3.86 and their bullpen is among the major-league elite. The Astros complement the work on the mound with a lineup hitting .269 BA and plating an average of 5.09 runs an outing. Houston has also picked on divisional foes, with a 26-7 record against American League West opponents.

Minnesota Twins (+700)
We go off the beaten path for the next team on the MLB World Series odds, with the Twins shocking baseball bettors in the first half of the schedule. Minnesota is 56-33 so far in 2019, but stumbled toward the break with only four wins in their final 10 games before the midsummer classic.

The Twins are the top-ranked offense in the big leagues, scoring 5.22 runs an outing and hitting a combined .272 at the plate. While those numbers are impressive, Minnesota has actually been the better hitting team on the road – hitting .281 and scoring 6.15 runs in the role of visitor. That could come in handy come October, when you need to be able to steal wins away from home.
